Every time you hear of a dear one affected by Cancer, does your heart say “Wish I could do something about it !” This is your chance to do your bit to save lives lost due to cancer. 70% cancers can be controlled by either detecting them early or taking preventive measures. CFI was set up in 2002 to work towards reducing the mortality and morbidity due to cancer. This is an opportunity for you to join a group of committed professionals working towards cancer control. We receive all INDIAN donations in the form of a crossed cheque or demand draft favoring “Cancer Foundation of India” drawn on any bank in Kolkata. But before you do that you may want to have the following information:
 CFI is a registered Not-for-profit voluntary health organization (NGO) under West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 (Reg. No: S/1L/9983; June 11, 2002)
All donations to CFI are exempted under the provisions of 80G of Indian Income Tax Act 1961 vide certificate number DIT (E) 1594/8E/142/02-03 valid till 2008-09
The CFI is registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, under Foreign Contribution (Registration) Act, 1976 to receive contributions / donations from overseas
If you stay overseas and wish to donate to CFI you are welcome to send a cheque favoring Cancer Foundation of India or make an e-transfer favouring CANCER FOUNDATION OF INDIA , A/C No 627801090914 at ICICI Bank, Gariahat branch, Kolkata, India.
